As indicated earlier, War Requiem will have a re-release on DVD in the USA. Derek Jarman's masterpiece is a reminder on the the loss of innocence, the unbearable suffering, the nightmares, the
tragic waste of life. It is perhaps the visionary director’s greatest film.
As a testament to the futility of war it is a unique, unforgettable
poignant and haunting experience.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary there's an intriguing new edition due to come out in the UK which includes interviews on the making of this movie with Tilda Swinton, Nathaniel Parker and Don Boyd. There will also be an audio commentary with producer Don Boyd.
Please note that all given info is subject to change and is merely meant to keep you up to date.

I went to a showing of Malice In Wonderland this afternoon. And I have to say, I loved it.
Simon Fellows, the director, has done a great job, on a complete shoestring of a budget. It's exciting from the word go and doesn't stop. It's as tho' you are Alice, but you get to see it from lots of angles. Maggie Grace is terrific in it, as is Danny Dyer. In fact everyone gives great performances, the whole lot of them, and they are all terrifically well cast by my lovely friend Alex Johnson. I haven't even told her yet how good it is. I have just got back and thought I would let anyone out there who cares that we do have a good film. Now I hope we get good distribution.
With the kind OK of Future Films I am able to give you the first official trailer for "Malice in Wonderland". I sincerely hope you all will enjoy it as much as I did. As soon as more news will break I will try and make sure to keep you updated on this movie right on this site. The first info that was out in 2008 is right here. So here it is - enjoy!
Nat will be doing a charity on June 13, 2009 - it's a concert on behalf of the National Centre for Young people with Epilepsy (NCYPE) within the school grounds of Gads Hill Highschool - the best musicians within the Gad’s Hill community will be performing.
In addition to pupils from the school’s Beatty House, the concert marks the return to Gad’s of Tom Webzell and Simon Watson, with their band the Soundcasters, and drummer extraordinaire, Tom Close and his band Reykjavik. There will be appearances by local groups Contraband and Gunner SGT, and some special surprises.
The Concert is held at Gads Hill School, Higham, Kent. Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children and OAPs. They can be obtained by either emailing kdeacon (et) ncype.org.uk or information (et) gadshillschool.org or by calling Gadshill school on +44 (0) 1474 822366 and will also be available at the door on 13th June.

As they adapt to their new surroundings, and knuckle down to some hard

the same again.
Actors include Nathaniel Parker (The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Bleak
House), Christine Bottomley (Hope Springs, Massive, Early Doors),
Sophie Ward (Holby City), Summer Strallen (Hollyoaks), Mark Benton (The
Street), Danny Webb (Our Friends In The North), Jo Woodcock (Tess Of
The D'Urbervilles, All The Small Things) and Becci Gemmell.
As we learn of Variety, the show business' leading gazette, the U.K. hit comedy which was made in 2007 finally found a distributor for the U.S.A. - Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group. The company who has acquired U.S. video and TV rights to the U.K. hit comedy "St. Trinian's" from independent theatrical distributor and foreign sales agent NeoClassics Films (here's the news bit of August 2008) has not yet announced release dates so far.
NeoClassics, which acquired U.S. rights to "St. Trinian's" from Ealing Studios in 2008, will distribute the film theatrically in the U.S. later this summer. The remake of the 1950s Ealing classic "The Belles of St. Trinian's" grossed more than $25 million in its U.K. theatrical run Variety tells us. Additionally it might be of interest to you that Spain will see a release from June 26th, 2009 and Italy from July 3rd, 2009.
I thought I had posted the other day to say what fun I had on my birthday at the read through for Land Girls, but I guess I must have pressed the wrong button and erased it. Sorry about that. Typical me always trying to do too many things at once.
ANYWAY, I did have a terrific time over my birthday. It seemed to last over week. And now I must prepare for my close friend's birthday weekend. Oh yes, and work on Monday.
Things are pretty hectic right now, so much so that I was texted yesterday by a friend asking what time I am on GMTV today. I had completely forgotten. I am about to leave, the car is waiting, so off I go. I am sorry if anyone wanted more notice. I am pushing Flawless DVD. It had a pretty poor release which I think belied the quality of the film, but that seems to happen a lot, e.g.: Fade To Black! Better go.
Thanks all who sent me stuff, messages and cards and pressies. Very grateful.
