As Sundance Film Festival is over, there are some good news involving the further development of The Perfect Host. Insiders report today that the film has been picked up by Cinema Management Group (CMG) for seeking international distribution channels.

CMG is a full service international sales company and was launched in 2004. Since then, CMG has added over 100 titles to its line-up which includes feature films of all genres, animated features and series as well as feature length documentaries and series.

Well, I have to say that Sundance was fun. It was great to be there with a film, rather than just as a film goer. But it was also frustrating, because I am not one of the main two in this picture, so I didn't feel quite justified in being on podiums, or accepting praise. It was very much Nick Tomnay's film. He wrote, directed and edited the picture, and David, and Clayne are terrific in it.

But, nonetheless, it was lovely to be involved at all, and the production company, Stacey Testro International, were very inclusive and Stacey and her husband Martin were so helpful. Mark, Jan, and Katie too. I hope they can all hear the round of applause that I send them. They did a really great job. And for the budget!!!!! I hadn't realised that it cost less than $700,000 to get from page to screen. Amazing.

David Hyde Pierce did an interview via an American TV station and I thought you'd be interested in what he has to say about the movie and the making of low / small budget independent movies in general and also to have a first glimpse on this film. Fingers crossed for tomorrow for everyone involved in this production...

At last the time has come to record the first programme. Tomorrow, Thursday. I have to admit to being ever so slightly nervous. I am not sure I if I read all the words in the right order. Anyway, there are five of us and probably not too much time to actually say anything. I did a few radio interviews earlier this week mostly as pre-record, which means they can edit it and release it as they wish. All very different and some terrific questions. It really all just makes me realise how tricky this game of presenting is.

I hope you all enjoy it and that it encourages people to pick up a couple of new books, they don't even have to be these titles, just get in to those libraries and bookshops. Exciting.
