I have just found out that Flawless is having a Charity Premiere for CLIC Sargent on Wednesday 26th Nov. How exciting. I have had a quick look at the CLIC Sargent website and am very impressed with their work. I do hope most of our rather illustrious cast can make it. I believe the website still has some tickets left, for £50 I think, so perhaps I will see one or two of you there. I maybe coming form the Richard and Judy set, or that maybe the evening before, I don't know yet. I still haven't seen the film. On my various transatlantic flights I have managed to resist peeking at it on the tiny screen and have been hoping for a chance to see it in a proper Theatre. This is the same production team that did Malice In Wonderland. I will find out our progress with that too, and get back to you. Till then...

I've been out here in LA for a couple of weeks now and had enormous amount of fun. I am shooting a film called The Perfect Host. A young, first time director / writer called Nick Tomnay is in charge, and what a great script he has crafted. David Hyde Pierce, of Frasier fame, plays the main character. It's a thriller with some very clever moments that also has that wonderful, unquantifiable Australian input. Our producer, Stacey Testro, and her husband, Martin, one of the executives are also both Aussie.
There has been a great atmosphere, hard working and thorough, yet with a sense of humour and cooperation. I play an American cop, Detective Morton, which is nice for me as I don't often get the chance to play with an accent. I also sport a little beard. Not what you would call a big budget picture by any means, but I am really please to be a part of it. I think it will be a really inventive piece when it comes out.

Thank goodness I logged on. As usual I learn more about my career from this site than I do from anywhere else. I didn't realise that the new DVD was coming out, or when Flawless was being released.
I don't know yet if there's a little premiere of any sort, but if there is I hope its a few days before. I have a carol concert I am doing in Chester Cathedral on the evening of the 28th November. If anyone is around then they are more than welcome to come and join in. It's a beautiful cathedral, and the event is organised by Sarah and Matthew Kelly. I look forward to that.
I am also off to Latvia for a few days of filming on a wonderful piece called Miss Irina's Children. This is a very moving and extraordinary film with Anna Pacquin in the lead. I think it should be a gripping film. Not a huge part for me, but I couldn't say no to it. I am huge fan of her. I should have some more news about another project very soon, fingers crossed.

As Flawless is just about to start in selected UK cinemas, I thought I'd give you another short update on this movie. It will be shown across the UK from November 28, 2008 and is distributed by Metrodome Group. The official website is up, promoting the movie and giving you some more info on this suspenseful and clever production starring Demi Moore, Sir Michael Caine, Lambert Wilson,
Nathaniel Parker,
David Barras and Joss Ackland.
You'll also have the chnace to watch the latest official trailer there as well as some stills.
Laura Quinn, the movie's heroine is a bright, driven and beautiful executive at the London Diamond Corporation. She finds herself frustrated by a glass ceiling after years of faithful employment, as man after man is promoted ahead of her despite her greater experience.
