Unfortunately, it's not Nat reading but the author, Eoin Colfer himself is making a pretty good job of it. Although it is the abridged version and all his accents are a variation of the Irish, it does have lots of brilliant FX.

Unlike Nat's version, that not only has a whole army of accents but Nat has the skills to add full characterisations, the drama and the humour to *purr*fection. :silly:

It would be interesting to hear the author. But I *so* love Nat's reading! His kids are so lucky to have access to their dad reading all the time!

UNDERSTATEMENT of the week! But I have to admit, I like the AF series better than Silverfin or Stormbreaker. He's SO animated. :)

I love the AF series! They're so cleverly written. And when Nat reads them, they're absolutely wonderful, with all of his voices. I finally bought The Arctic Incident, and looked though 3 Borders and 2 Barnes and Nobles looking for The Eternity Code! One of the Borders was supposed to have it, but the CDs were nowhere to be found. :( So I'm going to my local Borders to order it this morning.

I'm making my way through the entire series for the umpteenth time. I bought Artemis Fowl (AF1) 5 years ago and get as much pleasure from listening to it now as I did then, because they are such masterpieces.

So, even though buying them will set you back a bit, you certainly get value for money! Btw, have you checked to see whether www.audiobookcollection.com do them cheaper than Amazon - they often do.

By The Eternity Code (AF3) it's quite noticeable that Nat's voice for the narrative passages has become richer and smoother. And in The Opal Deception (AF4) his style of narration is definitely more relaxed and strangely comforting - and altogether very attractive and addictive! :silly:

It's so good to find another who is Totally Obsessed (AF4 reference that only the totally obsessed will appreciate!) with Nat's audio work - there are a few of us out there I think... B)
