For the first time ever, I'm going to have a grumble about one of Nat's audios...
I have no doubt whatsoever Nat's newest audio
The Water Horse will be wonderful and am looking forward to getting my hot little mits on it. But, but, but...
TWO CDs FOR NIGH ON A TENNER - i.e. £10 for just 2 hours of listening?? And maybe postage on top of that?? I don't think so...
Not when, for example, you could pick up when newly published Nat's William Brodrick audios for not much more than that - and that was an unabridged 6 hours' worth.
According to his own words Nat may be getting the same money for recording an abridged audio as he would for working 3 times as long for an unabridged one.. but people will just vote with their feet. Value for money works both ways.
Though it will pain me to do so, I shall hold off buying
The Water Horse until either I can get it through my library (which is not going to happen as they rarely spend taxpayers' money on abridged audios), or it's available second-hand in which case either way, if he gets a percentage of new sales, Nat loses out on a bob or two.
For a total Nat-audio addict this will be a trying time indeed...
