the Shelley and Blake recordings
the Shelley and Blake recordings

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to trace a copy (each) of the selections of poetry by Shelley and Blake, recorded in 1997 by Penguin Books, that Nat did with Jeremy Northam, Haydn Gwynne, Stella Gonet, Alex Jennings and David Horowitch.
They're proving elusive and rare.
Does anyone on this forum have a copy of either (or both) of these?
Thanks!

Dear tigger
No need to copy when
you can buy
... Yep, yet another attack on your accounts.

But worth every penny and not at all hard to get. I mean the original recordings, not 'em pennies.
Cheers!

PS: You can also order some single CDs via amazon, like the
Donne
CD.
PPS: Much cheaper
via amazon.de

Dear Jessika,
What wonderful news! Thank-you very much for your reply.
Ah well, guess I'll be taking out that second mortgage after all LOL

Further clarification:
The set of cds is only the Romantic poets (and includes Byron, which Nat doesn't read). The Donne cd is separate.
Just one note, Jessika: I checked the cheaper prices on the German site. You're right, some of the items are half-price. However, the reliability of the vendors is relatively low. Just a warning to forumers who might want to avail themselves of these beautiful recordings. From bad experience, I've learned to be cautious, and usually am prepared to pay more for more reliable transactions. Just a thought.
Thanks again, Jessie!

Hi tigger
Glad to have been of service to you. BTW I've never had any bad experiences from that amazon marketplace so far.

Buy hey, I forgot to mention it yesterday: you can also order via
abebooks
if you prefer. Just my two cents. Marketplace btw. is monitored by amazon, so if you do have problems amazon will most likely fix it better for you than anyone at eBay does.
Anyhow my point was actually to say that these recordings are available - no matter where you order. I like to order via amazon.de if I can, thus I won't have to pay customs fees. Here in Germany almost all amazon packages from the US will be opened and then charged with an extra tax... They're mad as hatters.
Cheers!

They're getting tougher in other places, too: maybe it's an international customs conspiracy LOL! I just sent a parcel of Nat-goodies to a friend in Sweden, and they really gave her a hard time. It was unnecessarily nasty and upsetting... though, thankfully All's Well That Ends Well, and she got the package today at long last without having to pay a small fortune to the greedy authorities.
