I was so excited to read that the Louise Penny series was to be filmed. I recently read the whole series and am anxiously awaiting the new one.
While investigating, I discovered Mr Parker ,is to play Gamache. I love his work and ended up buying the entire Lynley series.(which I've watched several times). Elizabeth George is one of my favorite authors.
Gamache has become a favorite character (with a wonderful cast of supporting characters).
I'm so eager to see Still Life and any future Louise Penny. Please tell me they will be available in the US.
I've Checked A&E and PBS and can't find it listed. I don't get CBC. Will there be a DVD?
Would love a response.

Hi Donna

Hope you'll enjoy this site. As far as I know there has been a deal regarding Still Life. It has been sold to the US and the UK. Not sure when it's going to be broadcast there. There's no info as yet on a DVD edition so far. But as usual I'll keep everyone posted as soon as news becomes available to me.

Cheers!

Just returned from celebrating my sister's birthday in Denver. My present to her was a trip to a local bookstore with a Louise Penny book signing. Her most recent.
I still have no answers to the brocast dates outside of Canada, but I did ask! She had very positive things to say about Nat! Now that i have read all nine books I am more convinced that Nat as Gamache is something that should contiue and at the rate they seem to film and air he will age into the role perfectly!!! :woohoo: :cheer:

Hi Jnett,

Thanks for the info. I too found an interesting interview where Nat's fellow actor Anthony Lemke is talking a bit about the film and Nat. Anthony plays Gamache's sidekick, Lieutenant Jean-Guy Beauvoir. Listen here .

Cheers!
