Very Much Worth Seeing was created by Rosemary
I saw the play in WIndsor yesterday evening, and it is excellent. The writing is so good and so subtle that I am still finding sub-text and shades of meaning in it twenty-four hours after the event. Although it is a comedy, it is a very bittersweet one, and there is as much pathos in it as laughter - in Nathaniel Parker's own performance probably more pathos. I found it impossible not to laugh at Quartermaine without wanting to cry for him at one and the same time, and found myself with tears in my eyes more than once. Many of us will know or have known a Quartermaine, and the reaction of mixed exasperation and sympathy that people like him provoke. I thought Nathaniel Parker portrayed him superbly - from the man's obvious desperate loneliness to his touching yet blundering attempts to be, as it were, a fully-fledged member of the staff 'club'. The final scene was as moving as any I have ever seen, and I defy anyone to have watched it without getting a lump in the throat. Definitely worth the journey from Switzerland. Please go if you can!

Thank you so much Rosemary.
As one who will never get to see Nat in this role on stage, I’m grateful for any feedback from those fortunate enough to see the man in “action”.
Even more than ever I hope others who will see/have seen the production will come back and tell us about their experience…so we can live vicariously through you ^_^ (hint, hint Suisse ^_~ would love to hear from you too)

With appreciation
Songbird ^_^
