It took quite a while to wait for the DVD but eventually the effort is rewarded.
Moomins on the Riviera is a nice story, a kind of a moral tale, amusing here and there, though mostly of some cliche. Still, I`d think children will swallow the jokes and mishaps whole, and for children this is meant after all.
I appreciate the fact that this is based on Tove Jansson`s original comic strips, how she illustrated them and wanted them to look like, and this raises the value of the film.
Unfortunately she made Moominpappa a typical Nordic man of few words. I`d like to hear him talking more but, of course, the quality is what counts.
