Dear all

I guess it's no big news that Nat currently looks up his guest-book now and then. He does answer some entries. I wrote a few words regarding the (mis-)use of the guest-book. Regardless of that I experience a sudden urge of some to post double entries and all sorts of silly stuff (that I haven't published) and trying to get ahead of each other I made a simple but I think good decision to make the guest-book what it is: a place to say hello and not a place to start a conversation in. I have no hard feelings regarding this towards anybody. I fully understand the feelings of everybody, but please we need to keep in mind some rules ( and do check the FAQs ).

I turned the way things are displayed upside down. Meaning: the first entries of 2003 are now shown first. Laura who made the first entry ever back on October 20, 2003 is and was first. So hey, yes the folks who posted years ago are now the first ones in line. Right as it should be, don't you agree? I got a few mails regarding that it's no fair that the latest ones are getting ahead - right. So I've changed that. I know I can't make it OKAY for everyone, but I sincerely hope that this gives everyone a feeling of equality somehow. Now we've got a perfect British "orderly queue" first in, first served. And while I'm writing this, I realize actually our forum works the same way... :woohoo:

Please keep in mind that we have a forum to post your questions in and of course you can always write to Nat at his agency's address (right under contact) if you wish. Everyone will find attention and all is being read.

Hi Everybody,
I'd like to add my two cents to the guestbook discussion.

When Nat started leaving responses to almost every entry, I, too, felt the urge to post an entry. Maybe he would respond, giving proof that he had actually read my entry!!! Well, he didn't respond, and I was, honestly, a little disappointed. And that's the problem!!! A guestbook is not intended to be a forum, where a response is expected!! Here's a standard definition of a guestbook:

"A guestbook is a place for your visitors to leave you comments, ideas, or just praise." Nothing there about responses.

If we start expecting a response, that can easily lead to unwarranted hurt feelings for those getting no response, and a sense of competition for attention. It can also lead to Nat and Jessy feeling obligated to respond, in order to be "fair" to everyone. That feeling of obligation can, in turn, lead to a real time-consuming burden for them as they try to please everyone- an impossibility- they would need to respond to EVERY entry!

I hope we can all go back to using the forum to post questions and have discussions, and use more appropriate ways if we want to ask Nat questions or get autographs- as Jessy pointed out. Let's reserve the Guestbook for our one-time only compliments or comments, and have faith that Nat will actually read them in his spare time.

And Nat, if you see this, I hope you will cut back on your number of responses in the guestbook-(sorry folks)- maybe go back to answering questions on the forum, instead-

Just my opinion-
Diane

Dear Jessika:) :
Thank you so much for to do this explanation. I agree with you in all, and has always seemed me that him more logical is to continue the norms of the site, to avoid the chaos, and above all to avoid you, a lot more work for you, that you have sufficient work, as so that besides, you have that to moderate the Guestbook.
I want that you know that have my total support and my total comprehension, and I suppose that many other fans will think the same thing that I.
I know that to Nat excited to respond to some fans, but he did not notice himself of the small chaos:S that could produce this action his.
I want to give again my congratulationsB) , to all the fans that have received an answer of Nat, they should be felt very fortunate.:woohoo:
Many thanks Jessy by being so good moderator:kiss: and by having so much patience with we the fans.

Hi Jessika:) ,

what it concerns me, I like this site and surely it is wonderful to get an individual answer from Nat:laugh: , but the main thing is to share all experiences about his movies and audio books with other fans. Not to forget to read all his messages and your extensive information about his work:woohoo: .

Thanks again
Claudia
