Hi girls:cheer: :
I think that if there is a navigator with the voice of Nat:woohoo: , this is the only way I buy my browserB) , because usually I prefer to read maps and learn for myself the road that I must continue. Because the best way to learn the way, is when you are losing. When one loses, learns first all the roads which are not due to follow;) . Like certain winding:laugh: :P staircases of the London Underground:laugh: .
Certainly friends, do you realized that the voice of computer in the Special Christmas of My Family he was the voice of Nat?. Oh, it was wonderful:silly: :woohoo: .
Many greetings.
Amparo:kiss: .

A SatNav with Nat's voice? Oh dear, I would purposely get lost all the time, and go on a LOT of unnecessary road trips! Personally, I can't think of anything better! Well, except for Nat reading every English publication ever released onto audiobooks, of course ... :woohoo:

Amparo, I did not know Nat's was the voice of the computer in My Family - must give that a listen again! Thanks :cheer:

Well gang, this was fun to read.

A NavSat with Nat's voice??? No, I wouldn't want that. I don't think I could live with being angry with such a nice man...

The only time we used a NavSat we missed an exit and we were late to a lecture. According to the driver this was not unusual and the system was subsequently removed from the car. Had we been listening to an audiobook instead we still might have missed the exit but it wouldn't have been anybody's fault, really, would it?

Other problems with all these automated system are that they are terrible on grammar and basic language. I notice this with kids, who so easily pick this up. And especially with those who are learning a new language it can be devastating. I had a pupil who didn't understand the difference between departure and arrival, probably because he lived at a terminal station for the tunnelbana. Arrival/departures were both announced as departures. No wonder he had problems with problemsolving in math! Arithmetics was no problem.

And Claudia, warn me next time you bring me on an exercise tour! It was fun though.
