This is a *really* cool story! I love it! I wanted Barbara to hook up with her Pakistani neighbor too--he seemed like such a nice man and then he just got written out of the series. :( Do you write fan fic at another URL? :)

YES!!! Thank you, Jessika!!!! I thought I was the *only* person who HATED the whole Mulder/Scully love child mythology. I thought the series really jumped the shark at that point.

Being a career woman in the '90's, I took a lot of cues form Scully and how she handled her platonic relationship with Mulder. When they got together, it was just like...ICK!!!

Relationships in the office in real life are fine if you end up getting married, but if you break up, they're aich ee double toothpicks on wheels!

Soo um, is there a fan fic portion of the forum I'm missing? B)

I don't write fan-fict and I don't know if there is a fan fict site somewhere in the www, but I know that the "relationship" with her neighbour continues in the books of Elizabeth George.
I am just reading her new book "Believing the Lie"
:) :)

Hi, Claudia,

That's great! :) :D :) I'm so happy to hear that Barbara is being given a romantic interest--especially one with a child. She needs love in her life and I hope she finds it in the new novel.

I'm waiting for some Elizabeth George from my Mom. She's a retired librarian and volunteers in the library's used book store. I've asked her to pick up all the Lynley mysteries she can and then ship 'em off to me. Since she's a real sweetheart :) I know she will.

But I think that means I'll be reading them out of order. LOL :( Good thing I have the series to set me straight. :P

I thought the story that was written in the earlier part of the story was a fan fiction and that Jessika was referring to a section of this site where people posted their fan fiction.

Although, as I'm sure Wolfie can attest, fan fiction (at least Star Trek) can get *waaaaay* out of PG territory and therefore inappropriate for this lovely website.

I just want to reiterate that I'm having so much fun here. Thank you Jessika and ladies for making this such an attractive and welcoming site! :) :D :)

Hugs,
Lynn

Think this will be a problem, because the series and the books didn't walk in the same direction. But nevertheless I love to read the books.

Greetings
Claudia
