For those of us who wish to buy "Wish You Were Here", it will be released on cassette in September and on CD in October of this year. Lovely Peter Royle of audiogo.co.uk, answered my inquiry with this information. He also said he did not know if it will be released in the U.S., but the cassette and CD versions they will release will be available for purchase to all.

Lovely news, indeed. I had no problems downloading, but the online versions do make trouble here and there, so that's splendid to hear. Really what did shock me was that the folks in Canada couldn't even buy it. Why's that, please?!
Didn't get it at all why they just simply sold it via CD / Cassette. So now everyone can order and enjoy!
Cheers!

I was told by amazon/audible that the download cannot be sold in N. America due to copyright restrictions. Meanwhile, I plan to keep checking amazon.com in the hope that the MP3 will become available, as I would be keen to buy the download if it is available sooner than the CD to us N. Americans. I am so keen to listen to 9 hr 17 minutes of new story told by Nat, but I must try to be patient. Playing the 'sample' on amazon.co.uk over and over and over and over is perhaps a little ... er ... desperate?

Good news - Audiogo.co.uk (the lovely Peter Royle) has informed me that the cassette and CD versions of this audiobook will be released in September and October respectively, for any and all to purchase. I am hoping that amazon.co.uk or other online sellers will carry it then as well, as Audiogo always seems to be the highest priced seller.
Audiogo.com (USA) had this to say:
Currently AudioGO US has no plans for this title. I believe there was a
rights issue which prohibits us from carrying the title. I don't see this
title for the next six month in the US but you can certainly check back
with us in the future.

A happy update to this: To my surprise and delight, I was able to purchase the download from audiogo.co.uk today! I had been blocked on previous tries 'due to copyright restrictions' regarding my country of residence. So it appears the restriction has been lifted, which is very good news for N. Americans (I am assuming both Canada and the U.S. can now purchase it).
I have just begun to listen and am utterly riveted. Nathaniel has once again instinctively, intuitively 'become' the story - his tone and pace perfectly match that of the writing. Such a talent! I am so impressed with his beautiful rendition of this steadily paced, spare and taut dramatic story. Have just reached Chapter 4 and am luxuriating in this wonderful new work. Thank you, Nathaniel Parker!
Audio fans, you need to get this one.
