Actually, he was kind to Barbara and invited her to stay overnight when he was married to Helen -- I mean, when the marriage was still ostensibly working... I guess I'm just too much of a softie.

if you are a softy, I am a softy too. He looked really very lonely and sad . But in the next EP, Barbara is very kind to him, when he stood at her door in the evening so desperately. Isn't she?

Haven't seen the next episode yet... am waiting, hoping that they'll broadcast it this week, before I have to fly to the USA... If I can just get my (bemused) husband to tape it for me!!!
