I just wonder about the relationship between Inspector Lynley, and the two Helens I have seen on screen. Then I think about two different actresses that play Helen.

But is it the plan that the two different actresses shall play the same charachter Helen in the series. Or does Inspector Lynley have two different girlfriends with the name Helen?

Could somebody explain this to me?

I feel ashamed about that I do not know the answer to this myself.

I just read here in Forum a Swedish interview with Nat. And there he tells us that there are 3 Helens in the Inspector Lynley episodes, but that it shall be the same person. So now I know that.

But please tell me about the 3 Helen's if you can.
What do you think about them, and what are the actresses names?

I hope not to make mistakes.
The first Helen, is "A Great Deliverance" is called the actress: Emma Fielding
The 2nd is the Helen of seasons 2 and 3, and the actress called Lesley Vickerage.
And the last Helen, is the season 5, and is the actress Catherine Russell.
Anyway, you can see the entire distribution of movies on the site called "All projects", and within it the" All Movies ".

here an addition to Amparo's answer.
The first Helen, Emma Fielding appeared only in the pilot of ILM. In Germany this was broadcasted in two EP's. The second Helen appeared in the series 1-3 ( in America the numbers are 2-4, because the pilot counted as number 1). In the 4th EP Helen does not appear and in number 5 we have again another and in EP 6 there is no Helen anymore (Hope that I have not made a mistakeB).)
