It's a shame Helen #3 was only around for a short while, she was my favourite. Reminded me of the charater from the books, a lot how I imagined her to look too.

I have bought the entire Inspector Lynley DVD set. It is great! The first two Helens look a lot alike. But i'm serprised that the 3rd Helen was so different! Helen married Lynley (the 2nd Helen) and... well I don't want to give it away if you haven't seen them all yet. Big surpries in store is all I can say.

Anyone, let me know which Hellen you liked best.

I liked the first Helen, but she was only in the pilot.

The second Helen seemed cold, and sometimes her attitudes and actions towards Lynley were inexplicable-

I found the 3rd Helen to be much more likeable and warm, so I would say she was my favorite.

I've been watching the whole series over again with the captions on- I find I missed a lot of dialogue the first time through. My hearing is not as good as it was when I was younger, and also I sometimes have trouble with the accents, especially Havers. It's a fresh look, and even more enjoyable than the first time!

I liked the third Helen best. The second was a whiner and it was all about her. The last Helen was more real and seemed to be in love with Tommy.

Hi Eliah! I didn't like the second Helen at all. I don't know why Lynley would put up with a woman like that. She was not lovable nor loving toward him. I liked the third Helen very much although I always secretly hoped that Lynley would end up with Havers. She understood him better than anyone and they had the utmost respect and admiration for each other that transcended mere words. They belonged together in my opinion!
