It's kinda funny when you watch a film or even a TV show that we tend to watch for mistakes. Sometimes when it's a film or show that I really like I tend to watch it more than once just so I can look for things. Like a film taking place in the 70's and you see a car that was made after like the 80's or something. Or a film taking place in the early 1800's and you find someone writing with a ball point pen. Funny How we catch these kind of things.

I did find that a bit odd. I would understand it more if it was the computer of a 12 year old at their home but a medical practitioner? Come on.

Debbie, I'm a transcriptionist, too. VERY small world, huh? I also noticed how fast and loose they played with the computer "facts".

Heh. I didn't notice it before, I guess, but now that I think of it...
At my former job, our computers were password protected with a screensaver and all that. We were dealing with important data (important to the company, anyway) that nobody should have access to.
I'm suprised that the computer wouldn't have a login screen. Maybe the writers didn't put much thought into security when they came up with the idea.

I'm wondering if Elizabeth George, the author, might know about using computers but not be an expert... since she was a college English teacher. I know they have researchers to check these things, but it may have been important to the plot that Havers get into the file, etc. so they just let it slide for that reason.
