A few weeks ago I told you about this year's Emmy contenders. Now I have the great pleasure to give you more news on the 58th Primetime Emmy Awards that will be celebrated on August 27th, 2006 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Bleak House made it on the shortlist for the Emmys in ten categories. Most prominent are the nominations for Best Miniseries, it has also one nomination for Best Actress (Miniseries or Movie) for Gillian Anderson and Best Actor (Miniseries or Movie) for Charles Dance.

Nominated for Outstanding Art Direction For A Miniseries, Or Movie are Simon Elliot, Production Designer and Bill Crutcher, Art Director. Also in the running for Outstanding Cinematography For A Miniseries Or Movie is Kieran McGuigan, Director of Photography. Outstanding Costumes For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special Andrea Galer, Costume Designer and Charlotte Morris, Assistant Costume Designer. And not forgetting the nominations for Outstanding Directing For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Dramatic Special Justin Chadwick, Director. Congratulations to all nominees! The deadline for the Primetime Emmy Awards ballots is August 15th, 2006.
