Ian Plummer and Nathaniel Parker_1_small.jpg Nat has launched Renault Retail Group's campaign to send a Christmas message to vulnerable children and raise £10,000 for Barnardo's. Nat was the first to sign a giant Christmas card at the Renault London West dealership in Park Royal.

The huge card carries Barnardo's pledge 'we believe in children' and the charity has teamed with Renault Retail Group to get as many people as possible to sign it.

Every person signing the card is asked to make a donation to Barnardo's, and the 150 staff at Renault London West will be encouraged to take part as an alternative to sending each other traditional Christmas cards. Customers at the busy west London showroom - the largest Renault dealer in the UK - will also be invited to join in and support the campaign. Similar giant cards will be on display at Renault Retail Group's 20 other branches across the UK.

Nat said: "I'm delighted to be signing up to send a Christmas card to Barnardo's and the children it supports. I hope we can raise as much money as possible for Barnardo's which does a fantastic job working for children and young people in our local communities."

Ian Plummer, Managing Director of Renault Retail, said: "Like Barnardo's, we believe in children, so this Christmas we're inviting people to visit our dealers to sign our card and make a donation to this worthwhile cause.

"As a group, we're aiming for a grand total of £10,000. The funds raised from Renault London West will go directly to Barnardo's projects locally, so it really will help give children and young people in west London a special Christmas this year."

One of Barnardo's projects is Spectrum.Based in Hounslow, it provides support for disabled children, young people and their families, including home car, family short breaks and volunteering.

About Barnardo's
Barnardo's believes in children regardless of their circumstances, gender, race, disability or behaviour. We believe in the abused, the vulnerable, the forgotten and the neglected. We will support them, stand up for them and bring out the best in each and every child. We do this because we believe in children.

Barnardo's works directly with over 110,000 children, young people and their families every year and runs 383 vital projects across the UK, including counselling for children who have been abused, fostering and adoption services, vocational training and disability inclusion groups.

Every Barnardo's project is different but each believes that every child and young person deserves the best start in life, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. We believe that the lives of all children should be free from poverty, abuse and discrimination. We do this because we believe that every child deserves the chance to transform their lives and fulfil their potential.
