Earlier yesterday, Nat's new drama Land Girls, stripped over five days as part of corporation's programming to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the start of the second world war, premiered on BBC1.

Broadcast in an unusual slot for drama from 17:15 to 18:00 - the show was watched by 2.2 million viewers and attracted a 17% share, making it the most popular show at that time. Competition included a new series of Britain's Best Dish on ITV1, which had 1.4 million viewers and a 12% share in the 5pm hour.
