charity raceAs Nat has been indicating, he will take part in the Newmarket Horsemen & Heroes Charity Race which is Newmarket Horsemen & Heroes Charity Race held on August 18, 2012 starting on 12:00 and ending on 19:00 (GMT) on the Newmarket Racecourse. It will be eight furlongs with a flag start and it will be run over the flat. Nat is currently preparing for his "job" as a jockey with Kim Bailey Racing.

The charity race is to take place on The July Course at Newmarket on Horsemen and Heroes Day on Saturday 18th August in aid of Racing Welfare and The Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund (HCOCF).

As you know Nat is a patron for Racing Welfare which tries to help anyone working or who has worked in the thoroughbred horseracing and breeding industry and their dependents. HCOCF aims to help provide financial support to injured soldiers and their families, including those who have lost their lives on active service.


The day will also feature the Cavalry Charge Charity Race, Lunch Marquee and Charity Auction Family Barbeque and Silent Auction.

jockey 03Newmarket will hand the entire day over to the services, anyone who is a serving soldier, sailor or airman and their families can get in free.

The day is organized by The Amateur Jockeys Association of Great Britain. Every year the AJA support various charities by organising charity races which are run outside the Rules of Racing.
