ward_strallen_parkerJust a short one to tell you that the highly-popular and award-winning five-part series Land Girls will have a re-run via BBC One from October 25th, 2010 from 14:15-15:00 (GMT). The five parts will be broadcast from Monday to Friday. The series will soon be out on an UK DVD edition.

A second series is currently in produced by the BBC, due to be shown later this year. Jo Woodcock (All The Small Things) and Becci Gemmell (Home Time) will return as land girls Bea and Joyce in the new series of Land Girls for BBC One Daytime. They're joined by newcomer Seline Hizli, who plays streetwise, cockney land girl Connie Carter, who causes mayhem from the moment she arrives on the farm.

The first installment of Land Girls won the Broadcast Award for Best Daytime Programme in 2009, and it attracted an average audience of 2.1m when it was first shown on BBC One Daytime.
