TMATL landscapeWhat absolutely great news I can give you today - if all is true and all things will be well! Fans have been speculating and hoping for this to come true and now it seems as if... well! What an absolutely fantastic way to come out of these very dark times, indeed!

Various theatre news outlets announced that the final production of Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall trilogy will be premièring in London's West End in autumn. And a new website has been put online as well.

It is currently planned to première at the West End's Gielgud Theatre on October 6, 2021 (previews will start from September 23, 2021). Like the two  RSC productions before the book has been adapted for stage by Mantel herself alongside Ben Miles, who will be back to his role as Thomas Cromwell to complete the trilogy. Nat joins him as Henry VIII, as well as Jeremy Herrin who will return to direct.

The Mirror and the Light, which is co-produced by Playful Productions and the RSC, will play a strictly limited season until November 28, 2021.

Gregory Doran, RSC artistic director said: "Wolf Hall and Bring up the Bodies were welcomed with extraordinary enthusiasm and excitement back in 2014 and audiences have waited patiently to see the third and final part. It's a much anticipated theatrical climax to an epic and ambitious work, and we can't wait to open and share it with audiences in the West End this year."

Tickets go on sale on May 27, 2021. I shall give you more details as soon as they become available. Please do note that all given information is subject to change and merely meant to keep you up-to-date.
