Before I tell you what a fantastic time I had today, I have just opened my laptop to see the terribly sad news that Roger Michell has died.  He was a tower of a man. I met him a few times socially and thought he was so generous and kind and genuinely sweet.  What an amazing director. So much fabulous work. He will be sorely missed. 

Hunting Bears - screening at the Cambridge Film Festival 2021

I'm more than happy to announce that Jason Ruddy's short film Hunting Bears has been selected for the 40th Cambridge Film Festival. In-venue screenings will be from November 18 to 25, 2021 and on-line from November 21 to December 5, 2021.

Ridley Scott, Oh My!!!!!

Hi there.  So I saw The Last Duel yesterday and WOW. Ridley knows how to tell stories. He has put together an amazing film. It's not short, but that just means there is a lot of depth. Don't be frightened off by the length. Jodie's performance is right up there. Well, the central 3, Jodie, Matt Damon and Adam Driver, are terrific, as is Ben Affleck. Harriet is haunting too, but the depth of cast and commitment and the talent of the fight arrangers and stunt people and Special Effects dept. make this gripping. Such extraordinary work both in front and behind the camera. It's a privilege to have been a part of it. I can't wait for it to open. 

Excitement building on he Mirror & The Light. Some blindingly good perfs from the newcomers, both old and young. I fear I may run out of hyperbole!

Rehearsals SO EXCITING!!! Everyone is being fantastic. These newbies, both to the play and the industry, are bloody amazing. Truly wonderful performances emerging. Not long now. Just under 3 weeks. Fingers firmly crossed all goes well.   

Quick word about Texas. Middle-fucking-ages! How dare they!!!! And as for the Supreme Court, well it had to come didn't it. That's what Trump stacked it for. Embarrassing as a male, no, a human, what they have done.
