Hello Everyone, As January expands to it's limits, I thought I would say hello. So Hello. Waking up this morning, London is rather beautiful, for a city. I have to admit that on mornings like this, frosty and crisp, I do rather miss our home in Gloucestershire. We had a good few years there and it was one of the most beautiful areas of all England for me, but most of all, on these mornings it reminded me of Narnia. The cars and workmen here, remind me it is in fact London. Also when I woke this morning, I was sent an article in The Times Diary column by a young guy called Patrick who I spoke to at the Costa awards.
Nat will be starring in the latest instalment of the new series of Grantchester on February 8, 2019 from 21:00 to 22:00 (GMT) on ITV one. Grantchester stars Robson Green (Geordie) and James Norton (Sidney), and new cast member Tom Brittney (Will) as main characters. The ITV hit series is set in 1950s Grantchester and is in its fourth season right now.
Just the right way to start for our audiophile friends. Nat did a brand new audio cosy crime novel series for Bastei Lübbe. It's called Banburry and comes in three audio instalments which can be listened to via the streaming portals deezer, googleplay or spotify. You can also download the whole series via the publisher's audioportal.
The cosy crime series is written by Helena Marchmont. The series is described as Miss Marple meets Oscar Wilde. It is set in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Bunburry.
Please head for the publisher's website for more info.
Ok, I have keep reasonably tight lipped since the referendum, I am not sure I can any longer. I may be treading on some toes here, but I have to say something and it may as well be here, because we seem a pretty reasonable bunch. WHAT ARE WE DOING?????
As you know I campaigned to remain in the EU. I am passionate about this. I feel very strongly European, but yes I am British also. I also feel the French, Italians, Dutch, Belgians, Germans and all the other millions of people in Europe are Europeans too, as well as French Italian etc. What is this jingoistic bollocks about having our nationality, sovereignty, taken away from us? I don't get it. What has broken my heart about all this, is the way our country has divided. It is interesting, politically, because it has blown away the traditional party lines. That could be a good thing, but in fact it has just driven a deep rift right down the middle. And strangely as a Remainer I feel barraged by Brexiteers saying, "Respect our vote! Why don't you respect the vote and just leave! We are the forgotten majority!" This is rubbish. The government, such as it woefully is, has spent two and a half years trying to enact the result of the referendum. No one has forgotten them, they have, to the absolute detriment of the rest of the country's affairs, been front line and centre stage (best place to be of course).
Congratulations to all out there for making it thru the year. Not an easy one, but filled with wonder nonetheless.
My most pressing news is about my Angel's film, Annabel Lee. I got to see a first assembly the other day and was thrilled. A first assembly is the director's first pass at putting scenes in the right order basically. It's not an edit, the editor does that. The difference really is a set of new and clear eyes that comes with the editor. Anyway, it was so exciting to see it.
