Great news for all audio fans. The latest (audio) epiosde in the The Fowl Twins series, written by Eoin Colfer and narrated by Nat is due to come out on CD from October 20, 2020. There's also a streaming version out via audible an other outlets. The running time is 8 hours and 5 minutes. It is the second book in the blockbusting new series from the best-selling author of Artemis Fowl. This adventure starts with a bang - literally.
Artemis' little brothers, Myles and Beckett, borrow the Fowl jet without permission and it ends up as a fireball over Florida. The twins plus their fairy minder, the pixie-elf hybrid Lazuli Heitz, are lucky to escape with their lives.
The Fowl parents and fairy police force decide that enough is enough, and the twins are placed under house arrest. But Myles has questions, like: who was tracking the Fowl jet?
I had a week on the Isle of Wight last week. My first on set time as an Exec Producer. What a privilege. I have rarely, if ever, known a set as hard working and as lovely as this. I was also lucky enough to be in this week, and that was very nerve wrecking. I have spent so long with this project that I felt I really must mess up the lines, let alone the character! Billy Howle is luckily a lovely man to watch work. And SO GOOD. Dome is a properly challenging director who doesn't let you get away with any lazy behaviour, at the same time as keeping the set floor a terrific place to work. I didn't get much of a chance to see the marvellous Jared work, but I did see him and Cush do one scene. Blimey they can deliver the goods too.
What sad news that Jamie Redford has died. I was lucky enough to be included in his campaign to raise awareness for transplants. We had a wonderful few days at the Sundance ranch in 2002, including a dinner with the family that I shall never forget. What an inspirational man, whose generosity has lived with me ever since. Big Man, Big Love.
