I just watched Joe Biden make his speech. What a relief. I have never understood why someone hasn't grasped the twin nettles that are unemployment and climate change together. If planned properly there could be global full employment. or near enough. The only way to move forward on this planet, for this beautiful planet to survive, is to plan for new ways of working and to clean up the past. What about that is difficult for leaders around the world to understand? You employ people to find new, cleaner ways to do EVERYTHING we do now, and, at the same time, employ people to clean up the awful mess that we have created.

This is often how my darling mum would start before she got to Nathaniel, or rather Nat, or even Natty. The first three are obviously my siblings, and Buster was our dog at the time, but PIGEON??? No idea where that came from. Mind you, I couldn't even spell Nathaniel until I was 9. (I didn't realise I was dyslexic, I just thought it the longest name in the world).
So it was with some joy that I read "Big Steve's" letter on the guest-book about how my parents found my name. I was told it meant "gift of God" which I thought meant my parents had studied the bible hard in anticipation of my birth, but hey, this is much more real. Thank you Steve, and I hope you had as lovely a lock-down birthday as I did.

That was the fatuous statement by Boris Johnson in Parliament earlier this week when asked how the government might help the arts community, in particular theatre. What an absolute arse! The man has no idea. I remember being asked by the Evening Standard in the run up to the Mayoral election in London when Boris threw his hat into the ring, what I thought would be the better choice for London, Boris or Ken. I seem to remember saying that one of them had absolutely no qualifications, he couldn't even run a magazine, (The New Statesman) so how he could be Mayor, God only knows!
Mascherato The Musical due to be released on July 10th, 2020

This is a brand new project starring Nat as Attilio. This recording of "Mascherato The Musical" with music and lyrics by Michael Elderkin was written by James Willett, the musical is set to be released this July.
Originally conceived by Elderkin in 2015, and following a successful workshop in 2017, the show has proven to be popular. The show has been transformed into a concept album. Whilst the story and dialogue has been abridged, it loses none of its initial magic and will, without doubt, leave listeners spellbound.

Here in the UK the pall of Covid-19 is lifting a little. What a change the world has seen in the last 4-5 months. I know I speak on behalf of my family when we send love, admiration and respect to all those who have been on the front line. Thank you. And, of course amid all this we have had a world reacting to the awful institutional racism, not just in America, but all over the world. Extraordinary. As some despots seek to increase their power, the people of the world have come together to protest injustices.
