Nathaniel joins the cast of "Maigret" (Season 2)!
Exciting news from the set: Nathaniel Parker will play a central role in the second season of the successful remake of Georges Simenon's classic novels.
In the new episodes of the Masterpiece PBS/Playground production, Nathaniel will take on the role of Xavier Guichard, the police director. As the boss and mentor of Inspector Maigret (Benjamin Wainwright), he brings a new dynamic to the Brigade Criminalelle. But the relationship is strained: Guichard views Maigret's growing fame with suspicion and does everything he can to bring his protégé back down to earth.
What to expect in Season 2:
While Maigret's team grapples with internal power struggles and personnel changes, three of Simenon's most famous novels serve as the basis for the new episodes: The Hanged Man of Saint-Pholien, Maigret's Revolver, and The Yellow Dog.
Production & Release:
Filming began in Budapest in April 2026. The series will air in the US on PBS and via Masterpiece (Prime Video). In the UK, the series (season one) is already available to stream on Amazon.co.uk. You can get all the relevant info right here via the show's webiste.
