Yes it's back. CELEBRATION DAY. May 26th.
It is hoped that this will catch on as an idea for everyone. It's not about anything but celebration of a special person in your life. This could be a parent, a grandparent, sibling or child; an extended family member, a friend or mentor, colleague, teacher or figurehead. ANYONE who has meant something to you. Someone who has helped shape you into who you are today. THANK YOU.
Honestly, I talk to my parents every day. They shaped me in EVERY way. However, I have chosen to celebrate the wonderful DEREK JARMAN. Many of you will know why, but if you need a reminder, or an explanation, please visit the Guardian's website today to see the introduction to the short film, made by my brother Olly and my niece Jess, (& a couple of others). This should take you to a link... https://celebrationday.com/
I am honoured to have been included with these wondrous actors reading poetry. Luckily fit it in on a day home from Ireland. And such a treat to be in front of a camera being directed by Olly.
ALSO........ Thank you to everyone who posted Birthday wishes over the weekend. A whole year older. I'm lucky to know you all. N xx
